Naive, Stupid or Victim?

There is a foreclosure crisis in Brooklyn, amplified by the pandemic. Brooklyn is known as the foreclosure capital. Added to the issue, persons are losing their homes to deed theft and deed fraud. A part of the deed fraud, persons are signing their deeds for loans and money and even before short sales. Are persons, naive, stupid or victims of predators?
