Therefore, my brothers, I implore you by God's mercy
to offer your very selves to Him:
a living sacrifice, dedicated and fit for His acceptance
the worship offered by mind and heart.
(Romans 12:1 NEB)
In the seventh and final place, worship must be personal. You cannot worship for anyone else. No one else can worship for you. YOU are implored by St. Paul through God's mercy to offer your entire self--mind, body and soul--to God.
Your offering of mind, body and soul is a living sacrifice. A sacrifice that continues to give each and every time you come to worship. A sacrifice that continues out into the world as you live your life. As Jesus sacrificed Himself and rose from the dead, our sacrifice is not one that ends in death. It lives in our hearts and lives. It controls our lives. It drives us to live our lives for Jesus.
By God's mercy and through His guidance, live your life for the One who died for you personally. Amen.
