Moment of Meditation: Brokenhearted

MESSIANIC PROPHECY: BROKENHEARTED

Prophecy:

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,

Because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,

To proclaim freedom for the captives

And release from darkness for the prisoners.

Isaiah 61:1

Fulfillment

Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of Me.”

Matthew 11:4-6

Thought:

As the Savior of the world, Jesus came healing the various problems that broke people’s lives. Jesus came to the blind and they saw. He came to the lame and they walked. He came to lepers and they were cleansed. He came to the deaf and they heard. He came to dead Lazarus and raised him from the dead. The brokenhearted were being bound up by His supernatural power. The supernatural power that binds your broken heart for everlasting life. Amen.
