Moment of Meditation: No One Can Deny (1 Timothy 3:16)
No one can deny how great is the secret of our religion.
(1 Timothy 3:16)
St. Paul writes to his young protege Timothy that the Christian faith cannot be denied. Jesus Himself said it to His disciples, "If anyone declares publicly that he belongs to Me, I will do the same for him before My Father in Heaven. But if anyone rejects Me publicly, I will reject him before My Father in Heaven" (Matthew 10:32-33).
The issue is simple. If we deny knowing Jesus in this life, He will deny knowing us in the next life. For centuries, Christian martyrs have been given the opportunity to deny Jesus. They were unafraid of dying because they knew that Jesus had died for them. That He had purchased and won for them the glories of everlasting life. Martyrs for the faith firmly believe and do not deny their Lord because God hasn't called them to hide their faith. We have been called to boldly proclaim the faith and its secret to the whole world. What's the secret of our religion? Tune in next time to find out.
May God bless and keep you in the true faith until then. Amen.
