Moment of Meditation: Continue in Love (1 Timothy 2:15)

But women will be saved through childbearing--
if they continue in faith, love and holiness
with propriety.
(1 Timothy 2:15)

Continue in Love

After continuing in faith, we're to continue in love. Love doesn't form faith. Faith forms loves. "We love because God first loved us" (1 John 4:19). God loved us enough that He sent His Son into the world to redeem the world. To redeem sinful mankind and save us from ourselves. This Son was born through natural childbirth and was Love incarnate.

We continue in love because God is love. By continuing in faith, we continue in love as it is formed by the faith in the Son of God who loved us to death. This is the love with which we're to live our lives and love each other. Being willing to give up our lives, if necessary, for another. Just as Jesus died for us. Amen.
