Moment of Meditation: Appointed (1 Timothy 2:7)

For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--
I am telling the truth; I am not lying--
a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
(1 Timothy 2:7)

Appointed

St. Paul was appointed to be an Apostle and a preacher. He reminds the Corinthians that he was not sent to baptize. He was sent to preach the Gospel. He didn't preach because he wanted to preach. St. Paul preached because that is what God had appointed for him to do.

God has a plan that covers everything. No. I don't know what it is, not even completely for myself. But I believe that there is a plan. There is something that He has appointed each one of us to do. The problem is finding out what it is.

Today I'm challenging you to prayerfully consider what you are doing with your life today. Is it what God wants you to do with His gift of today? Pray for guidance to live today and every day as He has appointed for you. Amen.
