Mormon Monday #4: Punishment for Sin

Articles of Faith 2 - "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression."

What do Mormons teach from this statement?

1. Adam's Fall brought death into the world. All mankind is fallen, but God wanted it that way.

2. Children cannot sin, nor are they accountable for sins, until they are eight years old.

3. The punishment for sin is "endless" torment in Hell, which will be destroyed one day. Many will go into Heaven's "basement" while others will go into the oblivion as the "sons of perdition."
