[Love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
(1 Corinthians 13:7)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God's love protects us from harm so that we don't suffer from everlasting death. We receive everlasting life because of Jesus' protecting love for us.
Jesus' protecting love leads us to trust His Word. He has never lied to us. His Word always does what it says. We receive what He has promised.
That leads to the hope of the future blessings. We're told that we are citizens of Heaven (Philippians 3:20). But we live in this world that is so against Jesus. We hope for the day when we will realize all the great promises Jesus has given us.
This hope helps us persevere through the struggles of this life. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23). God's love gives us all these things and holds us in His hands so that we need not worry about anything. God has provided all these things for you. Amen.
