and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd."

One Church

Jesus says there is only one Church. As we go through this month, we'll look into what the Third Article of the Creed says about the Church of Jesus Christ.

We look at the world today. We don't even have to look outside our own neighborhoods. We have Lutheran churches, Catholic churches, Reformed churches, Methodist churches, Presbyterian churches and other churches. Churches all across the theological spectrum. How can there be only one Church with all these differences?

That's the question that's plagued theologians of every stripe. But the answer is really simple. There is only one Church because there is only one Savior. The one who died on Good Friday and rose on Easter morning. Amen.
