Moment of Meditation: Commandments: (Romans 13:10)

Love does no wrong to a neighbor;
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Commandments

God gives us Ten Commandments to govern our lives in a moral and ethical manner. The only problem is that He didn't give us the proper numbering. I apologize in advance to my non-Lutheran listeners, but I'll be using the Lutheran numbering this month because I'm Lutheran.

But the one thing we agree on no matter how we number them is that "love is the fulfilling of the law." We can summarize all Ten Commandments in one word: love. When asked, "What is the greatest commandment?" Jesus replied, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself'" (Mark 12:28-31). Keep this in mind as you go through your day today. Amen.
