Moment of Meditation: Those Who Mourn (Matthew 5:4)

"Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted."
(Matthew 5:4)
Every one of us have mourned over something in our lives: the loss of a parent, a child, a beloved pet, a brother, a sister, a friend. Many things have been "lost" in our lives that leave us sad with their absence.
However, those who have lost loved ones who believed in Jesus as their Lord and Savior have the good news that they will see their loved one once again. They will be reunited on the Last Day when the eternal misery of this fallen world is destroyed as God creates a new heaven and a new earth so that we may have eternal joy. There will be no need for mourning since there will be no tears in Heaven. There is nothing but comfort for those who have persevered through the losses of this life and remained faithful to Jesus. Amen.
