LA 92 is one of the toughest documentaries ever put to film. However, it serves as a great educational piece on the cumulative effects of racism and police brutality in America. While the LA Riots of 1992, definitely mirror certain parts of our own story now, it’s a reflection of the 1965 Watts Riots on a larger scale. Captain Nostalgia and Caless Davis (aka BlackNerdMagic) are sitting down with New York metal band, Prdgms (https://bit.ly/306guest), to discuss the strong sometimes tragic topics that this film brings up and if anything has changed since the Rodney King beating and what were the factors that led to the biggest civil disturbance in American history Plus as an added bonus we’re sitting down with someone who lived through the riots (in 92) to tell us how life was like on ground level.
Victims and Villains is written Josh "Captain Nostalgia" Burkey (and produced by), Caless Davis, Dan Rockwood, Micah Kimber & Brandon Miller . Music by Mallory Jameson (https://bit.ly/expandmal).
