In the early 20th century, Tulsa's Greenwood District was an enclave of Black entrepreneurship, business, art, and culture. But in June 1921, it was destroyed. Thousands of white Tulsans stormed the district, burning most of it to the ground in a brutal act of domestic terrorism.
