Mish and Zach are joined by the phenomenal comedian Rhys Nicholson this week. Together, they discuss a true cinematic classic.
'To Wong Fo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar' is a 1995 comedy about three drag queens that travel across America in a Cadillac to participate in the Miss Drag Queen of America Pageant whilst being watched over by an iconic signed photo of Julie Newmar that they stole from a bar. This madcap road trip throws our three friends into some wild situations, like being mistaken for female basketball players and getting pulled over by a dodgy cop played by Willard from Footloose. When their car breaks down outside a public bathroom in the middle of nowhere, are forced to spend a long weekend in a small country town that is made up of some very interesting characters, like Rizzo from Grease and Gwenyth Paltrow's mum.
John Leguizamo plays ChiChi Rodriguez - a hopeful romantic that is on a deep personal journey as she strives to transition from a drag princess to a drag queen. She likes romance novels, chewing gum and getting into verbal arguments with Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes.
