Spiritually Minded Women Podcast
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
Let’s imagine you and I are going to lunch together. We pick a delicious restaurant, sit down and order our food. Before our food even arrives, I start telling you about my life. I tell you my problems and the things I’m worried about. I throw in some of the things that I’m feeling grateful for into the conversation. Finally, I ask you for some help with some tough questions I am having. But before you can even get a word in, I tell you goodbye. I throw my purse over my shoulder and I am out the door, in my car and on with my day before you even have a chance to say anything back to me.
This scenario sounds a little ridiculous, right? I mean, who does that? But, let’s think of this situation in a little different way.
Have you ever had a conversation with God that was a little like our imaginary lunch date?
It’s easy to get comfortable with rote prayers, but what if you could take your prayers from routine and one way to truly communing with God in an intimate way?
In this episode, I dive in and share thoughts about how to commune with God as well as practical ways you can make your prayers more meaningful.
I want you to do more than just listen. I want the things you are hearing to turn into the things you are doing in your life. That’s why I am offering a podcast season workbook. In the downloadable devotional you’ll get a scripture story to READ, questions to PONDER along with space to journal and then something simple to help you ACT on what you are hearing on the podcast.
