Dr. Anthony Papalas is professor of history at East Carolina University. Papalas earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1969 and has taught Greek and Roman History at ECU for more than four decades. His work has been published in numerous scholarly journals, and he is the author of three books: "Ancient Icaria," "Rebels and Radicals: Icaria 1600-2000," and "Confessionalization in Europe: 1555-1750." In this speech, he discusses "The Greek Elections, the European Union, and Free-Market Economics."
