Adam Skelly, owner of the restaurant that remained open after the Toronto area went back into lockdown, has been released on $50,000 bail. Skelly was arrested on Nov. 26 after two full days of his restaurant serving the public. Police made the arrest Thursday morning, after police had already changed the locks and prevented anyone from entering the building.
Skelly told The Post Millennial on Wednesday that he would continue to "act in noncompliance" with the orders, adding that he hoped other restaurants and businesses would open their doors.
The business was also given a heft $100,000 fine, which a GoFundMe campaign covered in under 24 hours.
