Today you get to meet one of my very best friends.
Jenn Newman and I met in 2004 at a pampered chef party, of all places. My kids were six and seven and she had a newborn baby. We clicked right away because she has such an infectious spirit.

The 2008 Recession took us in different ways.
Despite this, we were able to keep in touch and send love to one another. We are both so similar, yet so different. We both grew up in ways we shouldn’t have had to, and both had the same rebuilding year, bringing our relationship full circle.
This year has brought extreme loss, grief and uncertainty.
2008 was that year for me and Jenn, and it prepared us for 2020. In this episode, Jenn shares what it’s like to come back from rock bottom—more than once.
Meet Jenn.
In 2008, Jenn and her family lost everything during the Great Recession. Jobs, cars, a brand new home—all of it was gone. However, through her grit, perseverance and belief that home is “wherever you are,” she planned and executed the relocation of her family to New York City (for the second time) to rebuild. And, rebuild she did.
Going from 3000 square feet to an 800 square foot apartment may not have been easy for this family of three, but for nine years, New York City was home.
Jenn was able to spend the balance of her sixteen years in recruiting, marketing and advertising working at New York University, all while simultaneously managing her singing career. Eventually, she allowed herself permission to explore redesigning her purpose until she finally came to terms with what was next: building her own real estate business in Arizona.
In three short years, Jenn became a Multi-Million Dollar Producer, certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert, and ranked among the Top 3% of Realtors in Arizona.
