As we conclude our series through 1 Kings, Pastor Chris teaches us chapter 22 and King Ahab’s interaction with Micaiah the prophet. Ahab states pretty clearly that he doesn’t actually want to hear what God has to say through the prophet, what he really wants is to just have his perspective validated. How often do we approach God with this kind of posture? Are there times when we claim to want to hear what God is saying, but really we just want to hear what we’re saying? And what does God promise for those who are willing to truly seek him with an open heart?
