Reach out to people and keep in touch. It’s more important now than ever. Instead of social distancing it really should’ve been called physical distancing. It would’ve been a far more accurate directive for millions of people to ignore.

IOC decides that cross country, which World Athletics had been pushing to add to the 2024 Olympics, will not be added in 2024. Format would have been a mixed-gender team relay.

Cross country was last in the Olympics 100 years earlier at the 1924 Olympics -- also in Paris.

She regards the barefoot running industry as an insult—an attempt to profit off a misconception that the Tarahumara run with minimalist sandals because of alleged performance benefits, rather than out of necessity.

Running, on the other hand, is essential, though traditional Tarahumara “races” are collaborative efforts.
