Moment of Meditation: Lilies of the Field (Matthew 6:28)

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you,
even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
(Matthew 6:28)

Lilies of the Field

With all the talk of anxiety, Jesus comforts us with just how '''VALUABLE''' we are to God. God takes care of the entire universe. But He pays special attention to '''US'''. We're not just little blips on His radar screen. We are the '''TARGETS''' of His time and energy.

Jesus did not become a lily of the field to bring salvation. He did not become a dog or a cat or a bird or even a sheep to bring salvation. He became a human being to bring salvation into the world. To start the new creation.

God has created a very beautiful world for us to live in. He causes it to continue from one day to the next. All under His power. His grace. His providence and goodwill. This grace and providence and goodwill He gives especially to you in His Word. Amen.
