I won't sit here and try to say every single 1%er is cool and laid back easy to get along with. There are some serious assholes for sure. lol. And we all know there are assholes everywhere in every kind of lifestyle. But the vast majority of 1%ers are cool guys. I was a 1%er for almost a decade till Fatherhood took precedence over riding around all over gods creation and draining beers. When i was new to the scene most of the guys were cool. When i was trying out for it, most of the guys were cool. When i was a member most were cool. And after leaving in good standing, most are still cool.

It's been my experience that guys like this dolt who wrote this, as well as the guy who wrote the one on the Pagan's either are simply so fucking intimidated by 1%ers because of their own lack of testicular fortitude, or they said or did something once that got them smacked around and now they have a resentment. Then there is a growing trend among 20-30 somethings who feel they are "entitled" to a scene they had no hand in building. Much like they do with everything else including the damn country. But hey, what did people expect to happen when you coddled someone their whole childhood or gave them trophies for "trying".

1%ers built the biker scene. Not all of it. But a big part of it. And what they didn't build they certainly inspired. Tell me i'm wrong ? Even people who never joined a club dress and act in such a way that they are easily mistaken for outlaw bikers. So people admire them enough to imitate them. And it's been that way at least the entirety of my lifetime and i'm 47 yrs old. Look, it's simple, there are do's and don'ts. I have never seen even the most asshole of 1%ers start shit with civilians without some sort of provocation. It's like dealing with wild animals - leave them alone and they will leave you alone. Of course there are exceptions and some times shit happens. But there are guys who have done hard time, lost their lives, lost their families, etc etc over the past 70+ yrs building a scene these fuckers should appreciate and respect. Not sit there from the safety of a keyboard and criticize. GROW UP ! Or go join the knights of columbus. Maybe that's a better fit for some of you. Respects Hollywood. You rock, Man. #RockOn
