This month sees a heavy emphasis on Saturn / Capricorn energy and can bring some significant challenges mid-month and, to a degree, all year long. A good use of these energies is to have a teacher or path that you continue to learn from to find your unique path. Mars in Aries balances that out with a strong infusion of energy to start the year, drive and initiative to start the year. A powerful time to set your path for the year before the challenges of mid-month. Venus, Ketu and Rahu are also well placed making this a powerful month for personal growth and relationships. Mercury goes retrograde at the end of the month making the last week of January a good time for reflection and review, to continue to adapt the goals you set at the beginning of the year.
