Today we bring you the third episode of #Taakulo, the radio show that shares with you news and updates about the work of the UN family in Somalia.
In today’s episode, we find out more about the vital work done by the International Organization for Migration – the UN’s migration agency, also known by the acronym IOM – in our country.
The programme is presented by Ali Gutale and Fathi Mohamed – and they’ll first speak with Abdullahi Farah Barre, a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with the UN agency, about the assistance it provides to returning migrants and the issues returnees face when reintegrating into their communities.
They’ll also speak with Mariam Yassin Haji Yusuf, Somalia’s Special Envoy for Migration and Children’s Rights, about the country’s challenges in addressing illegal migration issues and the support provided by IOM.
You’ll have the opportunity to react to the discussion, and share your thoughts by calling in to your favourite radio stations!
