Industry Rule #4080: Record Company people are shadyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Ain't nothing changed since Q-Tip's proclamation. Coal miners have unions. Steel workers have unions. Airline pilots have unions. Actors and actresses have unions. PODCASTERS even have unions! Why not artists, producers and musicians?
Heavy hitters such as Joe Budden, Lupe Fiasco and N.O.R.E. have broached the topic but we have found no evidence of movement toward bringing a Hip Hop Union to fruition. Spotify is under fire from unionization of podcasters. Seemingly, there hasn't been a peep from artist; definitely not an organized "peep". Why not?
Now we DID undercover vital information that will benefit major label artists going forward. Our opinions are cool. But this info is the meat of this entire conversation. My mind is still blown by what Allan brought to the table on this one.
