Moment of Meditation: Not Everyone (Matthew 7:21)
''Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven'' (Matthew 7:21).
Lip service isn't real service. Not everyone who says they speak for God does. Many are the wolves in sheep's clothing that Jesus prophesied about. They are the many antichrists that had already come into the world even in the Apostolic times (1 John 2:18).
Only true faith brings entrance into Heaven. "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life" (John 6:40). Entrance requires faith. Doing God's will is believing what God has revealed about Himself and us in His holy Word. Those who refuse to teach the whole counsel of God will not have eternal life (Acts 20:27). They might be surprised to find themselves hearing the words that we will hear next time. Words none of us want to hear. Amen.
