103 Answering Your Questions About Christian Nutrition
What is biblical healthy eating?
Here are some tips on biblical healthy eating and a special announcement – listen until the end!
The questions we’re going to be answering today are all about biblical healthy eating. Well, that pretty well summarizes everything I teach. So if you’ve got a cup of tea, you want a grab and just sit at the table and let’s just have a chat answering your questions.
1. I am a new subscriber and I’ve used flaxseed every day one teaspoon with water on an empty stomach. I am a kidney stone patient and have diabetes. Will I have any problems eating flaxseed? – Lily Sunny Thomas
One contributor to kidney stones is a low fiber diet. Therefore adding the flax seeds, especially freshly milled is going to add fiber and essential oils that’s going to help you prevent kidney stones. Secondly, flax seeds with the fiber and the essential oil balance, it helps to balance blood sugar. Most Americans eat only 15 grams of fiber per day, yet my desire for you is to reach 35 grams a day. So if you just hit 35 grams a day I will be so happy as your nutritionist.
2. What is the right ratio of high carb and moderate protein? And would it be beneficial for me to be in a ketosis on some days and other days up my carbs with healthy potatoes or raw wild rice? – Noah
Now, as I’ve mentioned in previous videos and episodes, my specialty is biblical nutrition. I am not the ketosis and keto diet expert. It is a valuable eating plan that many people benefit from and yes, there are benefits to be in it, and ketosis even 24 or 48 hours a week, that would be wonderful. But what I like to see is eating the foods that God created, and then knowing your bloodwork https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/r… because that’s where we get the inside view of what’s happening.
Now let’s talk about your question about the percentages of carbs and proteins. with private clients and complete blood work, I do sometimes create meal plans with specific ratios of macros. Now for those of you who are not familiar with what a macro is, what it macro is referring to is your carbs, your fats and your proteins.
These are the main components of how food is distinguished. Now we also have microsare your vitamins and minerals and essential essential oils. Now macros are titled that because they are the largest portion of your diet micros are your minute portions.
So let’s look at some of these, some of these percentages. So if you’re wanting to have fat loss and muscle gain, then the percentages that you’re looking for is normally going to be 40% protein, 30% fat and 30% carbs.
And I can even come up with meal plans for people who want that.
I just want to say thank you for asking your questions. I love talking about biblical healthy eating, I love even more talking about your beliefs, because your beliefs are where everything begins and ends. And we talk about that the most on our 40 day fit spiritual and physical transformation https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/4…. Everyone who is a part of our 40 day transformation group gets to join into our private coaching groups https://thebiblicalnutritionist.com/b….
So your questions are good about food and health, yet, let’s take it deeper. Let’s go into your beliefs. And let’s identify what’s working and what’s not. And then I can help you transform those thoughts into a behavior that brings incredible, incredible results in your life. Now, eating, praying and fasting, these are three disciplines that every Christian needs to be working on and developing. These are disciplines that the church is not teaching, to the extent that we need to understand it.
So in our private coaching group, we go into eating, fasting and praying, and to learn these disciplines in a way that we look forward to them. Did you know that you can know how to competently pray for miracles to happen in your life in today’s time, that wasn’t just a New Testament thing? No, it’s today, Jesus is still the same today.
