Swedish Contributions to Esoteric Culture with James Tunney

James Tunney, LLM, is an Irish Barrister who has lectured on legal matters throughout the world. He is a poet, a visual artist, and author of The Mystery of the Trapped Light: Mystical Thoughts in the Dark Age of Scientism plus The Mystical Accord: Sutras to Suit Our Times, Lines for Spiritual Evolution. Here he points out that, although Swedish culture today is largely secular and materialist, there are ancient esoteric roots and many modern currents. The discussion particularly focuses on Emmanuel Swedenborg, August Strindberg, and Hilma of Klint. The Swedish royal family engaged in a variety of esoteric explorations. Parapsychology is also active in Sweden today.
