Prayer for the New Year

Hello. This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining in this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.

 Father God, in the name of Jesus, we give you glory and honor and praise and we worship your name. We thank you for being God in our lives. We thank you for taking good care of us during the year 2020. We thank you, God, that you got us through some very hard and difficult times, and we are here today because of your love and your grace.

We pray for those God that suffered loss during 2020. We pray that you would comfort their hearts and their minds and their souls and that you would give them a peace that only comes from you. It is a peace of God that settles our hearts and our minds, and to let us know that our better day is up ahead.

So we look to the year 2021. And we know that you have an awesome plan for our lives. And we just thank you for that in advance. That your plan will be revealed. And God that the blessings that you have for us will be given our way. And we receive the blessings of God, the blessings of peace, the blessings of comfort, the blessing of every need met in Jesus' name. 

We pray for financial blessings. We pray for healings. We pray for the healings of the hearts and minds and souls. We pray for deep hurts God in, Jesus' name. That we would be healed, delivered, and experience a freedom and a victory that only comes from you. So I pray in the name of Jesus that as we go into the year 2021, that you would lead us, guide us, direct us, and we acknowledge you in all of our ways.

And your word says When we trust you and we acknowledge you and all of our ways you will direct our path. So we thank you now in advance for a great year, 2021. We thank you for your blessings. We thank you for the gift of more than enough. All of our needs will be met. Our relationships are healed. In Jesus' name and you are providing for us, supernaturally so. For it is in the name of Jesus that we pray. We rest in you. That 2021 will be a great year for us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
