Marc Novakoff currently leads Jarislowsky Frasers’ Emerging Markets Equity strategies and research group, as well as co-manages the Global Equity portfolio. He is also a member of the Investment Strategy Committee for JFL.
Marc joined the firm in 2003 as a Research Analyst and became a Partner in 2008. He covered a broad spectrum of sectors throughout the years and has built an extensive network of industry contacts in developed and emerging markets.
Prior to joining the firm, Marc worked for CIBC World Markets in investment banking in the Industrial Growth Group in New York City. Before joining the investment industry, Marc worked for four years as an engineer and cost controller for Pratt & Whitney Canada in Montreal.
Marc is a Governor and a former President for both the Harvard Club of Quebec as well the Harvard Business School Club of Montreal. He is also involved as a member of the McGill Faculty of Engineering’s advisory board and the Quat’Sous Theatre board of directors. He is a frequent guest speaker at the CFA institute as well as multiple universities mostly discussing topics related to investment analysis and global markets.
In addition to obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University, Marc completed his MBA at Harvard Business School. Marc also holds the CFA designation.
