I was a NFC boy. I loved Marshall Faulk's giant white mouthpiece and the Rams bright yellow and blue swirls the same colors as my elementary school, Brett Farve taught me how to love football, Tampa Bay's pirate ship gave me Warren Sapp nightmares, and . The AFC seemed to adult, too professional, too serious. Rich Gannon, Tim Brown, and Jerry Rice were old. The Patriots were foreign. Peyton Manning, disgusting. The Steelers, horrifying, stealing a Super Bowl from Seattle. Then the Houston Texans came around. Then I became a man. And now I'm an AFC man who spends three hours a Sunday watching Deshaun Watson, and sucking down the Titans, Bills, Chargers, and as much as I can on Sunday night. Yet, when I watch the NFC I think about the past, the way things were, and what I have now become as I've sailed through course of time.
On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt and his good friend Taylor preview the NFC Wildcard Round of the 2020 NFL season. Topics include: John Wolford's offense, Seattle playing down to their opponent, Doug Pederson's decision to rest his starters v. Washington, if my Football Team can terrorize Tompa Bay, and Mitch Trubisky's wet and wild month.
