Episode #12 - What is Sleep Apnea and Why It Occurs
Sleep apnea is such a valuable disability for Veterans. Many Veterans suffer from sleep apnea, and when done correctly, can become service-connected. In today's episode, Robin Hoon speaks with Danny Davis about all things Sleep Apnea!
Some Veterans don't know that they have sleep apnea, and they could potentially be service-connected for it. One of the most common symptoms of sleep apnea is snoring. If you wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air, you most likely have sleep apnea and could potentially receive service-connected. If this doesn't happen to you, but you are curious about your snoring, ask your partner, spouse, or whoever sleeps in a bed with you. They will help better describe your snoring and better understand if this may be a disability you can become service-connected for.
