Moment of Meditation: Where Two or Three Are Gathered (Matthew 18:20)

''For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. (Matthew 18:20)''

How many people does it take to start a Bible study or worship service? Two or three. Jesus says, "Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I among them." Jesus is in the midst of any group of people--no matter how small--who call upon His name in faith.

We don't need a quorum to be able to worship God. We simply need the faith to believe that He is in our midst. I've heard before that Bible study and worship are completely different animals. And that's very true. Worship is a much higher form of God's presence in our midst than Bible Study. But Jesus is also in our midst every time we open His Word.

Open God's Word with your brothers and sisters. It doesn't matter how many are there. As long as God's Word is studied and proclaimed in its truth and purity. Amen.
