The color barrier was entrenched in the #SEC until 1966.  At the University of Kentucky a change came under coach Charles Bradshaw. The Wildcats recruited defensive end Greg Page and receiver Nate Northington, the first African-Americans to integrate football in the 1967 SEC season! In what is described as "barbaric" practices something happened that left Greg Page paralyzed.
