My guest is Patrick Musau. He identifies as Kenyan but also grew up in Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Currently, he is a PhD student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, USA. In this episode, we learn about how he always had a great fascination with technology from a young age. Now, in his PhD, Patrick is working on problems related to ensuring that autonomous systems operate safely and function as intended. He applies these techniques to autonomous remote-controlled cars and drone applications. Autonomous systems are an exciting area and have the potential to revolutionize industries, and we discuss how close we are to this from actually happening.
