By noon today, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. The President-elect will start this morning by attending mass at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle. Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy will join him at the service. A long list of pardons was among President Trump's final acts in office overnight. One of his former top advisers, Steve Bannon, is included. The new president will take his oath in a city under lockdown. No one is allowed on the National Mall, and the U.S. Capitol itself is surrounded by thousands of National Guard troops. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is co-chair of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, she joins us from Washington.
