Are ALL lives valuable? Lord Sumption vs Piers Morgan | SLP 342
We have a deep sense of the equal value of all people no matter their age, sex, race, creed, etc. But where has this come from? And what does it mean about the difficult decisions we have to make when rationing scarce resources?
Recently Lord Jonathan Sumption sparked a controversy on the BBC1 programme, The Big Questions, by saying that not all lives are equally valuable. We speak far more about the originals of human rights and equality in our RESET series. See in particular this episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODhbp...
