''So the last will be first, and the first last. (Matthew 20:16)''
In the kingdom of Heaven, everyone is the same. Jesus describes this as the last being first and the first being last. In Heaven, there is no first or last. Everyone is the same under Christ Jesus.
He is the head of the body. Each of us are members. All necessary to each other for survival and proper functioning of the body. All of us are equal because all of us are redeemed sinners.
Whether we hold an office in the congregation or not, we are all the same before Jesus. None of us are better or worse than another. We are all called to be Christians. To let the Gospel reign in our lives and show others the way to Jesus. The one who makes everyone equal. Amen.
