The most important story that was never told: the story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe. A queer, black woman pioneered guitar playing and influenced the birth of a whole new genre of music. Sister Rosetta gained notoriety for her recordings, characterized by a unique mixture of spiritual lyrics and electric guitar that was extremely important to the origins of rock and roll.
