There is a mind set that happens to lots of people on the autism spectrum who are of the lesser support needs level.
The name is imposter syndrome. It happens because of the level of support needs in comparison to other people on the autism spectrum with higher support needs.
Autistic people who can hold down a job and have a good speech pattern an a large language base often feel like they are not autistic enough compared to someone who is non-verbal to.
This imposter syndrome also happens when people find out that you are autistic but they say things like “you don’t look autistic” or “you’d never know”.
This type of thing makes you question your abilities and condition even though you are on the spectrum and have struggles and issues in life.
Remember that autism is a spectrum and we are all individual on it, out level of support needs varies from one end to the other.
