In today’s readings Jesus is called crazy by his family for serving the people that follow him. When he enters a house with his disciples to eat so many gather to hear him and to be touched by him that they can’t even eat. In the ninth chapter of Hebrews Paul reminds that Jesus our high priest built a spiritual temple in which he himself has been the sacrifice offered for our salvation. Because of this we sing with the Psalmist in Psalm 47 God mounts his throne amidst shouts of joy, a blare of trumpets for the Lord.
