Episode 18 - Leading the Western Force - Ian Prior
This week on the WarriorU Podcast Bram talks to professional rugby player Ian Prior.
Ian made his Super Rugby debut for the Queensland Reds in Johannesburg in 2011 against the Lions. He moved to Canberra just before the 2012 season where he signed a deal to play with the Brumbies for 2 years. In 2014, Ian joined the Western Force and after their removal from the Super Rugby competition in the second half of 2017 he played on a short-term contract with English team, the Harlequins, based in the UK.
Ian is now back with the Western Force and acting as their captain in the new and exciting competition that is Global Rapid Rugby
Ian is not only a gifted rugby player, he also holds a Bachelor of exercise and sport science from the University of Queensland (where he was also recognised for his achievements with a Sporting Blue award); and he is currently completing a Masters of Clinical Physiology with Charles Sturt University. Ian and Bram talk about high performance, leadership, rugby, base fitness and exercise physiology.
