1/26: Wild weather slams huge areas of the country. CA lifts stay-at-home orders as COIVD numbers go down, but concern remains high.
A tornado blew through Northern Alabama last night, killing one person and injuring 28 others. A heavy snowstorm is hitting Chicago and much of the Midwest right now. Some parts of Iowa and Nebraska expect more than a foot of snow, the biggest winter storm in more than a decade. House lawmakers delivered an article of impeachment against former President Trump to the Senate. Mr. Trump is accused of inciting an insurrection, after stoking a crowd, which then attacked the U.S. Capitol. President Biden is setting optimistic new vaccine goals to fight the coronavirus. He says anyone who wants a shot may be able to get one this spring, despite delays blamed in part on the Trump administration. There's concern and confusion this morning over California Governor Gavin Newsom's decision to lift COVID stay-at-home orders. Two longtime CBS executives are on administrative leave this morning while the company looks into alleged racist and sexist behavior, first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
