Dawn Sanchez goes missing with zero evidence of what happened aside from an eye witness who refuses to testify. The main suspect is let go due to lack of evidence until years later when investigators get a tip. The tip indicates Dawn's body may have been there at one point, but she still wasn't found. Police were grabbing at straws until they enlisted the help of NASA.
