News:Disneyland sent out a survey to some annual passholders this week with a TON of different pass and ticket options. We will talk more about this at length for our discussion topic! – Links here AP refunds- talk about our experience If the total amount paid toward a Passport (minus any refunds already given) exceeds the “usable value” of the Passport, that excess amount will be refunded for that Passport. The “usable value” of the Passport equals the total sales price of the Passport divided by the total number of access days to any theme park permitted under the Passport at activation and multiplied by the number of days that the Passport could have been used to visit any park per the terms of the Passport prior to March 14, 2020. – https://disneyland.disney.go.com/annual-passholder-refund-information/ This week, Disney announced some drastic changes coming to the World Famous Jungle Cruise. Former Jungle Cruise skipper turned Imagineer Kevin Lively announced the changes on a video posted by the Disney Parks Blog. The changes involve making the attraction more story based, focusing on a skipper and his passengers journey going awry. Two previous boats, the Mekong Maiden and the Kwango Kate will also make an appearance. Gone will be the “natives” of the jungle, making this a more inclusive attraction. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/01/new-adventures-to-cast-off-soon-along-world-famous-jungle-cruise-at-disneyland-park-and-magic-kingdom-park/ and https://www.micechat.com/280932-breaking-news-major-changes-coming-to-the-jungle-cruise-at-disneyland-and-magic-kingdom/ With Disneyland being closed for so long, UBS, a financial services company, expects attendance will reach “historical levels” by 2022. UBS states that Disney theme parks will be “the beneficiary of vaccine availability and pent-up demand for leasure travel” in the second half of 2021, expecting full recovery by 2023. – https://www.ocregister.com/2021/01/26/disneyland-attendance-to-rebound-by-2022-due-to-pent-up-demand-analysts-forecast/ With the stay-at-home order being lifted, guests can enjoy food and drink at Downtown Disney again! The previous rules are still in place that you must be stationary and socially distanced from others to be eating or drinking. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/01/25/guests-can-eat-and-drink-around-downtown-disney-again/ Recently, it seems like collectible keys have become popular, despite them being available for quite some time now. A new series of keys are coming to shopDisney on January 30th at 7am Pacific. This series is love themed, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Designs feature Disney classics, including The Aristocats, Bambi, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, and The Lion King. The keys are sold in blind packs, so you never know what you are going to get upon opening. There is also a mystery key you can get. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/01/new-blind-pack-love-series-collectible-keys-coming-to-disney-springs-and-shopdisney-on-january-30/ With Valentine’s Day just a couple of weeks away, some lovely treats have come to Disneyland. There is a “Bee” Mine Krispy treat, which features a bee and the word “mine” on top of a heart shaped treat, a chocolate dipped marshmallow wand, with marshmallows dipped in caramel, then dipped in dark chocolate and drizzled with red and pink chocolate. Chocolate covered strawberries are also availalble. For Caramel Apple fans, there is a “bee” mine chocolate covered caramel apple, which compliments the krispie treat we mentioned earlier. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/01/25/review-these-may-bee-the-sweetest-treats-at-disneyland-resort/
