You can celebrate the Lord's Supper at home - Here's why and how you should celebrate the Lord's Supper with your family and friends.
Today we're going to talk about how to celebrate the Lord's Supper at home and how to have communion at home.
Why should we celebrate the Lord's Supper? Why should we celebrate it at home? How do we do it?
And even when should we do it? So that's it we're going to cover today.
Now, just realize the Lord's Supper is not just biblical, it's practical. It's not an add on to your day. It becomes part of your day.
And that's what I want you to understand.
And there are three reasons. I want you to follow me on this and stick with this through the end, because there are three reasons why to celebrate the Lord's Supper.
1. Unity in your family and friends.
2. A personal intimacy.
3. For healing.
This is talking about breaking bread. This is talking about sharing the Lord's Supper with your friends, in your family, in your home. Every year is Passover celebrated.
It's in the home. It's in the home with family and friends. And that's why it's so important to realize that breaking up bread refers to communion. Lord's Supper was meant to be in the home.
Now, I think it's fabulous to have Lord's Supper in church and a lot of churches will do it once a month or every other month. Communion and the Lord’s Supper is about praying to forgive others, releasing anyone who is harmed us.
Our pastor does a very key thing he always has before Lord suppers as you have. If you have anything against someone, you need to go and make that right before you have Lord's Supper.
Start with giving things.
Start with an inner self-examination of your thoughts, your words and your actions.
Don't allow bitterness, anger, unforgiveness or pride to have any element in you, within you. And really be willing to forgive others even if they haven't asked for it.
That's kind of the key.
And be willing to forgive yourself. So many people live in this hatred of themself that it inhibits their walk with the Lord.
This is about a relationship. And you're going to hear me say that throughout all my videos. So pray from your heart.
Make this a time of worship. I want you to always have organic juice. If you do grape, cranberry, pomegranate. I don't care.
The grape is the more symbolic because it is of, you know, we are the vine. He is the branch.
And, you know, they crush the grapes with their feet to not bruise them. The unleavened bread. Yes. You can use saltines. You can use matzo crackers. You can use so many different things.
But I really want you to learn how to make the true unleavened bread. I've got two videos out there now once you go catch them. This is so easy. It is like four ingredients. So super good.
There are two breads that I want you to understand how to make. So catch both of those videos, the unleavened bread and the challah bread, and the reasons for making them yourself. That was that is really deep stuff.
Always using your freshly milled flour because we went all of the goodness that God put in the grain of wheat.
