Episode 14: Accessibility & Adaptability with Guest Rachel Land
In this episode of the BEYOND YOGA TEACHER TRAINING, Sandy has a conversation with Rachel Land about how to make the yoga practice accessible and adaptable. Rachel is a full-time yoga teacher based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Blending traditional yoga practices with thousands of hours of study in anatomy, physiology, sports training, and therapeutics, her mission is to give students the tools they need to feel better in their lives - to find more physical and mental balance. She also loves helping other yoga teachers do the same in their communities. Rachel is a 1000hr Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist, Yoga Alliance E-RYT500, and Continuing Education Provider, and a proud member of the Yoga Medicine® teaching team. Deeply grateful to have benefitted from years of personal mentoring from her teacher, Tiffany Cruikshank, she now runs workshops and anatomy training online and around the world, as well as co-teaching some of the Yoga Medicine® 500hr orthopedic modules. She also writes regularly for health & wellness publications including Yoga International, Yoga Journal, and Yoga Digest. She takes her role seriously but takes herself lightly.
