Even so, conditions in many hospitals are harrowing, including for medical workers who are on the frontlines of the suffering. The pandemic has created an overwhelming need for help, and the Biden administration has a nearly two trillion dollar plan to respond. The president met last night with Republican senators who say his relief package is too big. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is blasting a fellow Republican, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, for her record of endorsing a series of conspiracy theories.
