EP98 F*ck The Hustle, Sleep In To Win | Bobby Cappuccio
We've all heard it, roared from the top tiers of entrepreneurial success. Those who have seemingly made it, cheering down at us... willing us too, to succeed and rise to the top with them. All we have to do is get up at 4:30am, rise earlier, work harder, do more, hustle hard.
'What-f*cking-ever'. That's my response to that.
This hardcore mentality sure has it's place in the world. But... for a massive number of eager, willing-to-be-coached-and-do-the-work type individuals this advice can quite frankly do nothing but knock the foundation right from under their hard working feet and leave them experiencing adverse results.
Sleep deprivation, high stress, overwhelm. None of those things lead to optimal performance, and if you want to WIN (and not just short term), then optimal performance is the key. Work smarter, not harder. Not to mention there's no one size fits all approach to success.
What even is success?? Well, that's a whole other episode I'll likely dive into at some point.
