Texas is now in a state of emergency, after some areas saw their first snowfall in years and the coldest temperatures in decades. That system is moving into the Midwest and Northeast, covering roads in snow and causing major problems for drivers. The debate over masks and the coronavirus is entering a new phase - multiple states have recently dropped their mask mandates, against the advice of the CDC. The Republican party is at a crossroads, after Saturday's vote to acquit former President Trump of inciting an insurrection. Senator Mitch McConnell voted to acquit the former president on constitutional grounds, but he made clear in his blistering remarks that Mr. Trump could face criminal charges for his role in inciting violence, and said that even former presidents are not immune from prosecution.
